Canoes glide along gurgling silently instead of making din and noise; they offer the purity of nature isntead of smelly fumes; they don’t disturb birds, and don’t cause hearing defect to those sitting inside.

English guide

Meeting point: Budapest, where you can get on our minibus (exact place later in e-mail)

Meeting time: 06 September 2015, Sunday at 8:30

Arriving at Lake Tisza: at around 10:00

Before the launch the guide informs everyone about the paddling technics and safety rules. The  journey to the natural reserve includes several rest stops so that you can peacefully enjoy the nature.

Apart from getting to know the secrets of the lake, you can also have a refreshing dip in it.

We are going to be on water with several stops until around 3-4 pm.

When we arrive back, our well deserved hot Hungarian “bogrács” dish is waiting for us.

We arrive back in Budapest at around 6-7pm

Guided tour

Participants of the tour will stay together all day. You will be guided by experienced leaders, who assure you that everyone reaches the shores safely having been filled with unforgettable experiences.

Never tried canoeing?

No problem. You don’t need any experience, we are going to teach you the basics. Canoeing is simple.

Is it safe?

Canoes are absolutely safe, in addition paddling doesn’t require much effort only a little natural spirit of adventure. If you need, you will also have a life-jacket.


The participants of this tour are exclusively expats who are living in Hungary.

Participation fee

16.000 Ft, that includes

  • transfer from and back to Budapest by bus
  • rental fee of equipment (canoe, paddle, life-jacket)
  • professional tour guides
  • registration
  • hot meal (Hungarian bogrács) at the end of the canoing
